About the Virtual Conference

a) A web conference is an umbrella term used to describe the use of the Internet and a web browser to connect individuals or groups from various geographic areas for educational or training webinars, collaborative online meetings, or live presentations in real-time.

a) As a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic the decision was made to shift Healthy Churches 2030 Annual Conference to an all-digital format. The new conference format will allow attendees to experience the programming they have become accustomed to for the past six years online in a digitally immersive environment.

a) The Balm In Gilead Inc. will host the Healthy Churches 2030 Annual Conference on the vFairs Virtual Conference platform. vFairs is a visually rich online platform that enables our attendees from all across the globe the opportunity to virtually interact with the nation’s top public health and faith leaders and obtain information and resources that they can use in their ministerial and community programs.

a) All workshop sessions will be live with an interactive Q & A session unless otherwise noted. Workshops will take place via Zoom. You will not have to download any additional equipment to access the workshops. Like attending the conference on-site, you will be allowed to select which sessions you’d like to attend virtually. It is up to you to decide which sessions interest you in a given time block and to attend those sessions as desired.

a) Yes, this year’s Healthy Churches Conference Best Practice Awards Ceremony will be held virtually. The ceremony will highlight congregations from across the United States who are doing extraordinary work in health promotion. The evening will conclude with a musical concert from an award-winning Gospel industry artist.

a) Your virtual conference registration includes access to all plenary and workshop session recordings 24 hours after the session concludes. Don’t worry; you can view any sessions you missed as soon as the recordings for those sessions are made available on vFairs. Note that not all sessions are being recorded. However, those that are will be available for you to access at no additional charge using a conference login for 365 days.

a) Yes. We understand that attending conferences virtually is a paradigm shift. To ensure that all our attendees are comfortable accessing the platform, we will provide a detailed overview and opportunities to attend pre-conference training sessions.

Technical Requirements

a) Most up to date computers and mobile devices such as laptops, desktops, and handheld tablets can run the virtual conference. Once the Healthy Churches 2030 Conference is available, you will be able to perform a system check to determine if your device can support the virtual conference.

a) vFairs runs on the cloud, so you will not need to install software to access the virtual conference. All you will need is a standard web browser and a stable internet connection. The platform is mobile-friendly, allowing you to engage on the go.

a) If you are experiencing any technical difficulties, please visit the Virtual Information Desk. A member of the technical team will assist you.

Registration

a) The cost of registration is $75.00 per attendee. For groups of 20 or more, the cost of attendance is $25.00 per attendee.

a) Registration opens August 1st and ends November 9th. Individual registration of up to 19 people will be done via the Healthy Churches 2030 Conference website. Individual registrations are paid via credit card. Those registering as a group will fill out an inquiry form on The Healthy Churches website.

a) Those registering with a group will fill out an inquiry form on The Healthy Churches website. The online form gathers the most pertinent information from the group organizer, including if they are paying by check or by credit card. Discounts cannot be issued retroactively. Group registrations must be paid on a single credit card or check purchase. Individual payments are not accepted. Groups will have to go through the Registration Coordinator to complete their registration purchase. Each group will receive an access code that will give them access to their allotted number of purchased tickets. The access code allows the group organizer to enter registration information at their leisure. Group access codes should expire at 11:59 PM on November 8th.

a) No, only one user per login is authorized to access the system at a time. You are issued one login during registration. Your login is created from your unique email address. To attend the Healthy Churches 2030 Conference, you must purchase a registration.

a) Cash is not an acceptable form of payment. Checks are accepted as forms of payment for group registrations only. You must fill out a group registration form on the Healthy Churches 2030 Conference website to receive further payment instructions.

a) Prior to the start of the virtual conference, you will receive an email providing detailed instructions on how to connect to the virtual conference website.
